Electronic cigarettes do not have anything to burn inside their machinery to produce smoke for the user. They just have a liquid which is vaporized to produce pleasurable whirls of mist. For this purpose, there are various kinds of liquids available. Some of them have nicotine whereas others have just a burst of flavor. While nicotine liquids are the hot favorites of smokers all over the world, the wide range of exciting flavors such as menthol, vanilla and others, make smoking all the more gratifying.
Quite understandably, there is a limit to the amount of liquid inside a single cartridge. This is why it is important to replace the fluid to make sure the user can have endless hours of fun filled smoking experience. Refills are available at varying prices within the market and it is essential for every user to have some extra refills handy to make sure that they do not have to part with their favorite pastime and stress buster.
An electronic cigarette refill can easily be bought but its use is often confusing for many people. The following guidelines will be helpful in carrying out the refilling process.
Using the drip method
This is the most frequently used method to refill a cartomizer. In this method, the plastic cap of the cartomizer is removed. This is present at the top end of the system. Using a sharp object such as a thumb tack, the small hole of the cap is pulled back to remove it. Sometimes, there is glue on the cap which makes it a bit difficult to remove. However, a simple jerk does the trick. Now the filling liquid around the central hole is exposed and ready to be filled. The cartomizer should be filled at an angle to avoid any drips. The standard storage within the cartomizer is around 20-30 drops. This is also the perfect time to replace a burnt wick to keep the freshness of the smoke intact.
Using the condom method
This method is also known as the push method. In this procedure, there is no need to remove the plastic cap. Also, this method is more suitable for models with sealed automatic batteries. This is so because there is no way that the user will be able to tell how much of the container has already been filled. However, there is no cause for alarm even in case of a spill since the batteries are leak proof and the liquid cannot harm the circuitry.
One of the rubber ends of the cartomizer should be taken and filled with around 10 drops of liquid. Now, the cartomizer can be inserted in the battery connector. This will bring up the liquid inside the cartridge. This step is repeated until no further liquid can be soaked up by the cartridge.
